On Tuesday we started class with the standard Ukemi Taihenjutsu, followed by a kind of middle ground between the Ganseki Nage that we usually do in the dojo and the different version that we did last Thursday. Situational lessons arose around whether or not uke bent his arm, let go of tori’s sleeve, or remained attached.
We moved onto some Muto Dori, entering into Ganseki Nage and subsequently Osoto Nage, depending on which side of the sword you first end up. Situational lessons were how to incorporate Dakentaijutsu into the Nage, in addition to merely taking uke’s balance.
